- Präsens zu Präteritum: Wenn der Originalsatz im Präsens steht, ändere ihn im indirekten Stil ins Präteritum. Zum Beispiel wird aus "Sie sagt, 'Ich esse Äpfel'" im indirekten Stil "Sie sagte, sie aß Äpfel."
- For example, "She says, 'I eat apples'" becomes "She said she ate apples."
- Präsens-Kontinuierlich zu Präteritum-Kontinuierlich: Wenn der Originalsatz im Präsens-Kontinuierlich steht, ändere ihn im indirekten Stil ins Präteritum-Kontinuierlich. Zum Beispiel wird aus "Er sagt, 'Ich gehe spazieren'" im indirekten Stil "Er sagte, er ging spazieren."
